Tasty Turkey Burger Recipe

If you’re looking for a leaner burger, try this tasty turkey burger.  You won’t be disappointed.

1/4 Cup Barbecue Sauce, divided
1/4 Cup Onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. Dry Breadcrumbs
3/4 tsp. Chili Powder
2 tsp. Prepared Mustard
1/4 tsp. Salt 
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 lb. Ground Turkey
Cooking Spray
4 (1/4” thick) Slices Tomato
4 Large Lettuce Leaves
4 (1 1/2 oz.) Hamburger Buns

Combine 2 Tbsp. of barbecue sauce, onion, and breadcrumbs.  Add the chili powder, mustard, salt, garlic, and turkey in a medium bowl.  Make 4 patties, 1 1/2” thick each.

Heat a grill pan covered with cooking spray over medium high heat.  Add the patties, and cook for 7 minutes on each side.

Add a tomato slice and a lettuce leaf to the bottom half of each bun.  Spread 1 1/2 tsp. of barbecue sauce to each patty, and cover with the top of the bun.

Remember that any burger tastes better with cheese, you’re always welcome to add your favorite American, Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Swiss to any burger if desired.

Frozen Banana Pudding Pie

bananas, divided
HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)
(8-serving size)JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
(8 oz.)COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
chocolate syrup
PLANTERS Sliced Almonds, toasted
Slice 2 of the bananas; arrange evenly on bottom of crust.
Pour milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. Let stand 5 min. or until thickened. Gently stir in whipped topping. Spread over banana slices in crust.
Freeze 6 hours or until firm. When ready to serve, remove pie from freezer. Let stand at room temperature 15 min. or until pie can be cut easily. Slice remaining banana. Arrange on top of pie. Drizzle with chocolate syrup; sprinkle with almonds. Store leftovers in freezer.
Balance your food choices throughout the day so you can enjoy this pie version of a favorite sundae treat.
Prepare as directed, using JELL-O Banana Cream Flavor Instant Pudding and/or substituting strawberry or pineapple toppings for the chocolate syrup.

Homemade Ice Cream - Vanilla Ice Cream Ice Cream Recipe 1 Using Real Vanilla

,A custard base recipe ideal for making a rich and creamy homemade vanilla ice cream

4 egg yolks 
1/2 pint (250ml) milk 
1/2 pint (250ml) double/heavy cream 
4 oz (100g) sugar or caster sugar 
1 vanilla pod (scored down the middle)

Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring slowly up to boiling point but DO NOT LET IT BOIL. Place the vanilla pod into it and leave to infuse for about 20 minutes.

In a bowl, beat and mix together the egg yolks and sugar until thick. Carefully remove the vanilla pod from the pan of milk and scrape out the seeds into the milk. Pour the milk into the mixture of egg yolks and sugar whilst stirring. Pour the mixture back into the pan and heat gently, stirring until the custard thickens - DO NOT BRING TO THE BOIL OR IT WILL PROBABLY CURDLE.  When you can see a film form over the back of your spoon it's time to remove the saucepan from the heat. Leave to cool. When the custard base is cold stir in the cream. Transfer the whole mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Bourbon Chicken

  • lbs boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces

  • 1 -2 tablespoon olive oil

  • garlic clove, crushed

  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger

  • 3/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

  • 1/4 cup apple juice

  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar

  • tablespoons ketchup

  • tablespoon cider vinegar

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce

  • Prep Time: 15 mins
    Total Time: 35 mins

  • 1 Heat oil in a large skillet.

  • 2 Add chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.

  • 3 Remove chicken.

  • 4 Add remaining ingredients, heating over medium Heat until well mixed and dissolved.

  • 5 Add chicken and bring to a hard boil.

  • 6 Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

  • 7 Serve over hot rice and ENJOY.

    Special Chocolate Brownies

    Serves 10-12

    Special Chocolate Brownies

    For Guinness Brownies, you will need:  
    1‐cup plain white flour  
    3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder  
    1/4‐teaspoon salt  
    6 tablespoons butter, cut into cubes  
    8 ounces (225g) dark chocolate (I buy a 250g block of Whittakers and save 25g to chip over the top of mix at the end)
    3/4 cup white chocolate chips
    4 large eggs, at room temperature
    1 cup granulated sugar  
    1 and a 1/4 cups Guinness   
    How to make Guinness Brownies:
    In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt until evenly combined. Set aside.  
    Melt butter, bittersweet chocolate, and white chocolate in a saucepan over another saucepan filled with water (or a double boiler) on a very low heat, stirring constantly until melted.
    Remove from heat.  
    In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar on high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add melted chocolate mixture, beating until combined.  
    Beat reserved flour mixture into melted chocolate mixture. Whisk in Guinness. The batter will seem a bit thin. 
    Drop leftover chips of semisweet chocolate evenly on top of batter.  
    Pour into a lightly greased flat baking pan. Bake at 180 degrees celcius for 25 to 30 minutes on centre shelf in the oven, until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out almost clean. Let brownies cool, uncovered, to room temperature. Dust with icing sugar before serving.   
    Note: The Guinness should be at room temperature. This recipe uses a little less than a standard 12‐ounce bottle of Guinness stout beer. Do not include foam in the 1 and a quarter cup measurement. Either spoon off the foam or let it rest until the foam subsides.

    This is a perfect St Patricks Day recipe... to be sure, to be sure.

    Guacamole Recipe


    • 3 avocados - peeled, pitted, and mashed
    • 1 lime, juiced
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup diced onion
    • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
    • 2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
    • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
    • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)


    1. In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt. Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic. Stir in cayenne pepper. Refrigerate 1 hour for best flavor, or serve immediately.

    Pink bunny rabbit cupcakes

    Pink bunny cupcake
    For Easter or anything, these bright pink bunny cupcakes will be a hit with the kids.
    What You Need: cupcake; pink frosting (strawberry in a can works well); 1 pink Mentos candy; 2 mini marshmallows; 2 pink Jordan almonds; 2 mini chocolate chips; 2 Tic Tacs.
    How to Make It: Frost cupcake. Frost 3 sides of each mini marshmallow and place on cupcake for bunny cheeks. Add Mentos nose, Tic Tac teeth, mini chocolate chip eyes, and 2 Jordan almond ears.
